Name: Nicholas Lamb, 41
I grew up in Louisville, KY. I’ve served in the U.S. Coast Guard for the last 22.5 years as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 in Naval Engineering. I’ve been stationed in Mobile at the USCG Gulf Strike team since 2022 and previously stationed in Bahrain, South Carolina, Kentucky, Florida, Rhode Island, Georgia, Virginia and Hawaii.
I fell in love with the fire service at a young age always seeing the fire trucks zipping down Frankfort Ave back home and touring the fire houses whenever I could with my folks. I started my Volunteer career in 1999 at the ST. Matthew’s Fire Dept in KY. In 2001 I enlisted in the USCG and gained much knowledge for ship board fire fighting. In 2008 I was transfered to GA and once again joined another fire dept ST Mary’s fire for a three year time while stationed there.
I joined TDFR in 2023 to help out and gain more experience with a busy department and get next level training. I am proud of the work that I do with the Theodore Dawes Fire District and look forward to what’s next.
Fun fact: I enjoy hanging with my family and our three Shephards, exercising and enjoy wood working.
